> The main road into the park from HWY 51 takes you straight to the park/lake store where you can buy your visitor pass. The road turns into something of a lollipop loop just before you get to the store. When you pull out of the store parking lot, turn left (northward). The east side of the loop that you'll be facing as you pull out has a boat launch and docks, the north side of the loop has a small pull-off just after the OSU sailing club's building. The pull-off can only accommodate 1 or 2 cars, but if you drive another 50 feet west on loop there is a longer driveway/pull-off and it will accommodate several more cars. From the first, small pull-off, head straight north to the water's edge, there is a little spit in front of you. The bird was on the west side of the spit.
