Just spoke with a friend who reports a pair of Common Redpolls at her feeders in Monte Vista. She gave very good details including the black chin, bill color and size of bird. She also saw them right next to House Finches which were easily differentiated. She saw them at a distance of 5 feet. This would be a second record for the San Luis Valley ( R&A). There birds have not been seen for a few days now, but anyone with feeders will be watching for them.
