[cobirds] Bird Conservancy of the Rockies Chico Basin Ranch Daily Update 9/23/21

We had some relief from the slow day tomorrow, with 15 captures. We also had some school groups coming through so it was exciting to get to share that experience with them! The next big weather event is next week, when we an expect our next push of migrants. We caught our first woodpecker of the season, a hatch-year male Hairy Woodpecker. Thank you to Kara and Camille for being awesome volunteers and helping out!

Hairy Woodpecker 1 

Ovenbird 1 

We are open 6 days a week at Chico Basin Ranch (closed Sunday), usually returning from the first net run around 7am and staying open until about 11:50am, weather permitting. Thank you for your continued support!
