[cobirds] Bird Conservancy of the Rockies, Western Slope Banding

Greetings from the Western Slope! We opened our banding station at Ridgway State Park on Tuesday 9/7. It's been a slow season here, with 81 birds of 22 species banded in the last week. 4 hatch year Black-chinned Hummingbirds have also been caught and released, unbanded. We have been averaging about 10-15 new birds banded each day. However, we have been busy with education. We've had school groups each day, ranging in size from 30-100 students!
