Visitors:
Scheduled trail work was cancelled so I was able to count today. The trail is very muddy and slippery in spots.

Weather:
Weather was pleasant today. Winds were generally light and switched direction through the day from south to northeast and late in the day southeast. Cloud cover increased as the day progressed and made it much easier to locate high birds. Storms developed in the afternoon and ended the day early.

Raptor Observations:
Birds flew very high today and were scattered around the sky, some high over the ridge, some high west of the ridge, and a few on the east. Local raptors were active today, often escorting migrants from the area.

Non-raptor Observations:
Double-crested cormorant with a fishing bobber hanging from its mouth. Four Sandhill cranes flew low just west of the ridge, just east and over Mt. Morrison.

Predictions:
Birds are still moving!
