[cobirds] Best playas for shorebirds, fall migration, 2019

Chuck Hundertmark recently posted a note* on COBirds about
promising plains playas that had good habitat and had attracted shorebirds.
Thanks, Chuck!
Notes like that from other "plains wanderers" (apologies to Pedionomus torquatus) are welcome on Cobirds
and will help wader watchers seek and find.

Joe Roller, Denver

* August 10th There were two Black-bellied Plovers at the Morgan CR 23 & HH playas this afternoon. The birds were spotted on a field trip led by Bran Andres as part of Denver Field Ornithologists' shorebird workshop.
Shorebird activity appeared to be picking up in the Weld, Logan and Morgan County playas and ponds, though water remains high in some ponds, limiting available shore, and some playas remain dry.
A small pool on Morgan CR23 south of CR II had a plethora of Solitary Sandpipers (10-20).
