This afternoon I decided to hike up Hidden Valley in RMNP.
I found 5 Three-toed Woodpeckers. They were tapping and pecking off the
bark of the the spruce and fir trees. Also, of note there were several
Golden-crowned Kinglets and Red-breasted Nuthatches.
I later walked around my neighborhood and found a Northern Pygmy-Owl
about 2 blocks from my house. I took photos and they are on my facebook
page.
