Today's DFO (dfobirds.org) field trip covered parts of the south portion of South Platte Park. We encountered nice views of a variety of waterfowl, with 20 Greater Scaup handing in the northwest corner of Eaglewatch Lake. With snow blowing in a cold north wind, we ended our morning along Highline Canal Trail off Rampart Range Road spotting the Trumpeter Swan still present in the gravel pit reservoir.
