[cobirds] Upcoming CFO Field Trip

Cobirders,

There is an upcoming CFO weekend trip to NE Colorado coming up on Saturday and Sunday, August 27th and 28th.   We will organize into carpools and head east early on Saturday morning to visit spots like Jackson Reservoir, Prewitt Reservoir and North Sterling Reservoir.   In order for the trip to stay organized, we will stay overnight in Sterling at a designated hotel, and then proceed on Sunday to visit Tamarack Ranch, Red Lion SWA and Jumbo Reservoir as well as other spots.  Please note—all participants must have a Colorado State Wildlife permit in order to visit Prewitt and Jumbo.

This long-standing CFO trip racks up from 110 to 125 species annually including shorebirds, gulls, terns and herons; migrant songbirds; and NE Colorado specialties like Bell’s Vireo Baltimore Oriole and even Greater Prairie Chicken.

Space on this trip is limited and reserved for CFO members.  To join CFO, please visit our website at COBIRDS.org.

For more information or to sign up for the trip, please contact Bill Kaempfer (kaempfer@colorado.edu)
