The first half of our first full week of banding went well. We banded 42 birds on Monday, nearly doubled that on Tuesday with 81, followed by 64 on Wednesday. Tuesday's good haul was comprised of 24 species, including three vireo species (Warbling, Plumbeous, and Cassin's) as well as the first Hammond's Flycatcher, Ruby-crowned Kinglet, Hermit Thrush, Ovenbird, Yellow-breasted Chat, and Clay-colored Sparrow of the season. Wednesday brought in a Northern Waterthrush and Canyon Towhee.
