[cobirds] Gyrfalcon continues in Larimer County

While traveling to and from Fort Collins today (from Longmont), I had occasion to stop by to check for the Gyrfalcon that had been seen on and off in Larimer County.  The bird was present as I arrived at both 11:15 on my way north and again at 3:45 on my way back home.  Both times, it was perched on the tallest metal powerline poles that line Trilby Avenue to the west of Taft Hill Rd.  Trilby Ave is about 0.7 miles south of the Larimer County Landfill.  For the morning sighting, the falcon took off toward the landfill about two minutes after we arrived; in the afternoon, the bird never left its perch on the power pole during our ten minute stay.
