RE: [cobirds] Possible Boat-tailed Grackle - female, Aurora, Arapahoe County

If I am not mistaken, the CBRC bylaws prohibit more than one first State record species in any one individual's yard, regardless of where the yard is at any given time in the State….

Subject: [cobirds] Possible Boat-tailed Grackle - female, Aurora, Arapahoe County

I am -pretty sure - I have a female Boat-tailed Grackle visiting my feeders today. I have not yet been able to get any pictures as my windows are covered in snow. Went out and cleared them to nearly no avail. But - The bird is LARGE with no noticeable contrasting supercilium and definitely more deep brown than grayish below. Light throat. I'll post pics if I get any.

Please don't try to come by or ask to at this time. Access is by permission only into our subdivision and roads aren't plowed.

If it is confirmed we can discuss the possibilities.
