Two groups from the CFO Convention visited the area below Two Buttes Reservoir dam, this morning. It was very slow for migrating passerines. Highlights: two Summer Tanagers, singing male Northern Parula, a Northern Waterthrush, Ash-throated Flycatcher, Orchard Oriole. I think it was the slowest day for migrants for this time of year, I have ever had at this location. It was extremely quiet! My group said they enjoyed the day, so that is good! Never know when migrant traps will be full of birds, or no birds! Yesterday migrant traps were pretty birdy in SE Colorado, today maybe not so much!
