[cobirds] Bird Conservancy of the Rockies - Barr Banding Report, 9/19/24

Like Chico, we had a much better day today, banding 49 new birds.  It was a treat for our groups - Christy Carello's Metro State College ornithology class, followed by a group from the Lafayette Senior Center.  Here's the breakdown:

Hammond's Flycatcher 1

Dusky Flycatcher 2

House Wren 1

Ruby-crowned Kinglet 1 (FOS)

Hermit Thrush 1

Orange-crowned Warbler 3

Townsend's Warbler 1

Wilson's Warbler 33

Green-tailed Towhee 1

Song Sparrow 1

Lincoln's Sparrow 2

White-crowned Sparrow, Gambel's 1

Dark-eyed Junco, Oregon 1 (FOS)

We are banding Tuesday through Sunday mornings (closed Mondays).  There is a public session most weekday mornings from 7:30-8:30, and three time slots on weekends, at 8, 9, and 10 a.m.  There is a $7 fee and registration is required – click here to register!
