[cobirds] Bird Conservancy of the Rockies- Chico Basin Ranch Banding Station Report- September 21, 2024

Another good day to be outside. The wind picked up mid-morning but only effected a couple nets. Lots of White-crowned Sparrows chipping and trying to sing near the banding station. Fifteen bird species captured with a highlights of a Northern Flicker intergrade of Yellow-shafted and Red-shafted subspecies; making it and Orange-shafted Flicker and a Golden-crowned Kinglet.

Audubon's (Yellow-rumped) Warbler- 2
House Wren- 1
Warbling Vireo- 1
Golden-crowned Kinglet- 1
Western Wood-pewee- 1
Clay-colored Sparrow- 1
Chipping Sparrow-1
Lincoln's Sparrow- 6
Vesper Sparrow- 1
Gambel's (White-crowned) Sparrow- 3
Hermit Thrush- 1
Western Tanager- 1
Flicker Intergrade- 1

The Banding Station will be closed tomorrow. We will open back up on Monday at sunrise. Have a good weekend!
