Other road work in SE Colorado, people might be interested in, Hwy 71, between Ordway (Crowley County) and Rocky Ford (Otero) is closed all spring and summer (I believe) -- they are repairing the bridge over the Arkansas River there. This isn't a big deal, unless you need to get from Lake Henry or Lake Meredith, to Rocky Ford in a hurry, then it could be an issue.
The know the birding hordes will be invading SE Colorado in early May, as usual.

All:I write as a public service to the presumed hordes that will soon descend upon southeast CO. There are signs stating that road work will begin on the highway S of Lamar in "April 2019" between mile markers 50 and 60 in southern Prowers Co. Additionally, there is ongoing road work in Lamar just N of where US 50 turns E onto Olive Rd.TonyTony Leukering--
