I didn't think to walk the paved trail. Maybe I will do that the next time I can get up that way. Probably every day brings a different set of shorebirds.
Thanks!

I was there yesterday. I parked at the northern most parking lot in the state park. Then I walked on the paved trail north about 1/4 to 1/2 mile - to the last bench. Then I walked toward the lake and further north until I came to a fence on the flats. I assumed this might be the park boundary. There were lots of ibis, willets, avocets, and a few dowitchers, yellow legs and stilts. But I was there a couple weeks ago and there was nothing out there.
