[cobirds] Lesser Black-backed Gulls, Valmont Reservoir, Boulder County

Hello, Birders.

This Sunday afternoon, Jan. 10, with Marky Mutchler, Johanna Beam, Joel Such, Hannah Floyd, and Simon Stone, I saw at least 6 lesser black-backed gulls in one of the gull flocks at the Valmont Reservoir complex, Boulder County. (4 adults, 1 third-cycle, 1 first-cycle.) These birds were on the ice on Valmont Reservoir proper. The flocks on adjoining Hillcrest and Leggett reservoirs were larger--makes you wonder what else is lurking out there!
