Captures picked up this week at Chico Basin Ranch. Eight first-of-the season species comprised the catch of 42 individuals on Monday, including Red-naped Sapsucker, Ash-throated Flycatcher, Yellow Warbler, Townsend's Warbler, MacGillivray's Warbler, Western Tanager, Black-headed Grosbeak, and Rose-breasted Grosbeak. Tuesday brought in the first Least and Dusky Flycatchers, as well as Common Yellowthroat and Lark Sparrow. Plumbeous Vireo, Ovenbird, Hooded Warbler, and Canyon Towhee were banded on Wednesday.
