[cobirds] Greater Sage Grouse

WHY...did the Sage Grouse cross the road!!!

We were up in the mountains for a quick birthday getaway and decided to drive further north to Walden. Great birding at the lake many species of water birds including Cinnamon Teal and Cattle Egret in mating plumage. Even a Yellow-headed Blackbird perched on an island of grasses.

As we were heading home on 125, Yolanda suddenly swerved into the oncoming lane (no traffic) with great exclamations! Some...I can not repeat. A Greater Sage Grouse had stepped in front of the car. We were so sure we had collided. We pulled over and there it was, stuting across the road. I got this quick video. Sooooo glad we missed.
