Saw an all-light-tan gull early this afternoon snoozing on the barrier logs at the Cherry Creek State Park Marina. It had the overall look of a 1st winter Glaucous-winged Gull. Got only a brief look at the dark bill. That's as much as I know and I'll leave the heavy larid lifting to the gull experts. From the east side also saw a Lesser Black-backed Gull out on the lake. The big thrill was watching a Peregrine Falcon buzz the hodgepodge flotilla of ducks and gulls near the swim beach. Saw another Peregrine having its lunch near the mouth of Cherry Creek-- SE corner of the park.
Go get 'em!
