Hello Fellow Birders,
I have had a solitary White-crowned Sparrow hitting my feeders the past two days, and today a single female Red-winged Blackbird was foraging below the feeders. Also notable today were a Mountain Chickadee and a lone Junco, I've hosted both species most of the winter but it seems late for them to be sticking around here. Two pairs of bushtits have been daily visitors for the past week or so, the winter flock seems to have dispersed/paired off for the breeding season. And a pair of White-breasted Nuthatches have come onto the scene a few times the past week. Still have anywhere from 2 to 6 dozen American Goldfinches on a daily basis.
The W-C Sparrow is a first-time-ever bird for my little townhome yard.
