Fwd: [cobirds] Red-headed Woodpecker

Re:  juvenile Red-headed Woodpecker

Keith Helart Park is in North Open Space, which is an open space area in Louisville.  This park is north of South Boulder Road and south of Baseline Road near the intersection of North Franklin Avenue and Monarch Court. Where I saw the juvenile Red-headed Woodpecker was about .4 mile NE of this park in a large cottonwood tree.  To get to where I saw the woodpecker, I walked along a paved trail NW from Keith Herlart Park, over a wooden bridge, then NE on a dirt trail about .4 mile (the bird was actually in Boulder County Open Space, just north of Louisville).

I went back to the area with my camera and found it again, but did not get a picture before it flew to the NW.

No, you didn't miss a previous post-- I just got home after going home and getting my camera and then going back to try to find it again.  I'll see if I can figure out how to post the coordinates of the park.
