CObirders,
Seven chipping Red crossbills just flew over my house (I heard them first while sitting in my living room). They briefly landed in a neighbor's ponderosa before flying south towards Coal Creek.
I have been hearing them for several weeks, but this is the first time I've seen the flock! I'm not sure which type they are; their song and chips didn't sound quite right for type 5.
