[cobirds] Purple Sandpiper - Go see it!

Cobirders,

The intent of this message is to point out that the Purple Sandpiper at Lake Dillon is 2,100 miles from its “normal” wintering grounds on the east coast.  It has the status of MEGA rarity for the state of Colorado.  Whether you are into the listing of birds or simply enjoy watching birds, it is worth the trip to beautiful Summit County to view this sandpiper.  It is a call in sick to work, skip the dance recital or arrive late to Christmas Eve dinner type of bird!

Good Birding,

Steve Stachowiak
