[cobirds] Say's phoebes, Arapahoe county

The Say's s phoebes that nested on the drain pipe next to my living room window last year have returned! I'm so pleased, they were wonderful guests last year.
When the first phoebe returned, he went to the nest and repeatedly sang a beautiful "trill" of a note. In my own anthropomorphic way, it sounded like a note of excitement. Two days later, a pair of phoebes came and took turns going between the nest and my blue spruce, trilling back-and-forth to each other.
BTW, the phoebe nestlings beg with soft, varying whistles that are wonderful to hear as opposed to the normal squawking demands of other nestlings.
Plus, I think the adults did a number on my infestation of earwigs! Who wouldn't love that?
Below are a couple of pictures I took last summer with my iPhone through my living room window of a phoebe flycatching.

Thanks for "listening" to my middle of the night ramblings.
