I found a cooperative Winter Wren this morning at Massey Draw near my home in Ken Caryl Valley, Jefferson Co. It was calling often and well seen along the drainage amid some large willows. I managed recordings and iPhone photos that are decent and in this checklist (but turn the volume way up to hear the calls):

I made a coupel stops at Chatfield to view the lake near the campground, but did not see any unusual species. Of interest was an apparent leucistic Aechmophorus Grebe (like a Western) that was very pale gray where it should have been black or dark. It was too far to study in detail, but a neat oddity.A stop at South Platte Reservoir had nothing of note.
