ARAPAHOE COUNTY:
--A Worm-eating Warbler was found by Rutherford by the Smokey Hills picnic area of Cherry Creek SP on May 6 and it was seen by m.o.b.

BENT COUNTY:
--On May 5 at Tempel Grove, Duane Nelson reported WOOD THRUSH, 2 Ovenbirds, Northern Waterthrush, and imm m Summer Tanager.  On May 5 at Tempel Grove, Leatherman reported SWAINSON'S WARBLER, Stulp found a m Golden-winged Warbler, and Eastern Phoebe.  On May 6, Leatherman reported WOOD THRUSH and 2 Ovenbirds at Tempel Grove.

BOULDER COUNTY: 
--A GLOSSY IBIS was reported by Waltman at Cottonwood Marsh on May 5.
--A White-winged Dove was reported by Michael King at his feeders in Boulder on May 5.  If you would like to try to

DOUGLAS/JEFFERSON COUNTIES:
--On May 5 at the swim beach at Chatfield SP, Suddjian reported Green Heron.
--On May 6, an ad m Northern Parula was reported by Darling at the south edge of Chatfield along Plum Creek after heading N from Audubon Discovery Pavilion.

EL PASO COUNTY:
--A Northern Parula was repored by Farese at Sondermann Park in Colorado Springs on May 7.

EL PASO/PUEBLO COUNTIES:
--Gobris reported that an Ovenbird and Hooded Warbler were banded at the Chico Basin banding station on May 7.
--A Northern Waterthrush was reported by Drummond at Chico Basin HQ willows (fee area) on May 7.
--At Chico Basin Ranch on May 8, Percival reported 2 Summer Tanagers (1 HQ, 1 Rose pond) and 3 Northern Waterthrush (1 HQ, 2 Rose).  All on the Pueblo side.  

FREMONT COUNTY:
--2 GLOSSY IBIS were reported by Moss in Florence on May 7.
--Moss reported an Eastern Phoebe at Florence River Park on May 7.
--A Green Heron was reported by Moss at Florence River Park on May 8.

GARFIELD/MESA COUNTIES:
--Beason reported a Black-throated Sparrow on the Garfield/Mesa County line on May 7.

JEFFERSON COUNTY:
--On May 5, Commercon reported 3 Broad-winged Hawks over the hawk watch.  On May 7, Rouch reported 1 Broad-winged Hawk over the Dinosaur Ridge Hawk Watch.
--A Northern Parula was reported by Crooks at the Wheat Ridge Greenbelt on May 4.  It was on N side of river, east of Prospect Park Footbridge.  The Northern Parula was reported by Shade at the greenbelt on May 5.  ON May 7, Mitzen reported Northern Parula and Broad-winged Hawk at the Wheat Ridge Greenbelt.  On May 8, Chavez reported Northern Parula at Wheat Rigde Greenbelt.

KIT CARSON COUNTY:
--A f Hooded Warbler was reported by Kaempfer at Flagler SWA on May 7.  A f Chesnut-sided Warbler was reported by Breitsch at Flager SWA on May 7.  On May 8 Kaempfer reported f Hooded Warbler and Great Crested Flycatcher below the dam.
 
LARIMER COUNTY:
--A Black-and-white Warbler was reported by Biggerstaff at Dixon Reservoir in west Fort Collins on May 5.  A Northern Parula was reported by Wade at Dixon on May 5.
--A f Summer Tanager was reported by Sparks Behind the Fort Collins Museum of Discovery and 2 Green Herons along the Poudre Bike Trail on May 6

MESA COUNTY:
--At Highline Lake SP on May 6, Beason reported 2 Black Phoebes and a Northern Waterthrush.

MONTROSE COUNTY:
--A White-winged Dove was reported by Dexter in his yard in Nucla on May 6 and a Black Phoebe was near the Nucla Reservoir.

OURAY COUNTY:
--Kent Nelson reported that a Black-throated Gray Warbler was banded at Ridgway Reservoir on May 5.

PROWERS COUNTY:
--A breeding plumaged Harris's Sparrow was reported by Leatherman at Riverside Cemetery in Lamar on May 5.
--At Fairmount Cemetery in Lamar on May 5, Leatherman reported Tennessee Warbler and Red-bellied Woodpecker.
--At LCCW on May 5, Leatherman reported 3 Summer Tanagers, Red-bellied Woodpecker, and a pair of Northern Cardinals.
--A LAUGHING GULL was reported by Leatherman at the Lamar Truck Stop N of Lamar on May 6.
--At LCCW on May 7, Leatherman reported 2 Northern Waterthrush, juv Broad-winged Hawk, 3 Northern Cardinals and Red-bellied Woodpecker.
--On May 8 at LCCW, Thompson found a Worm-eating Warbler in the SE corner and Duane Nelson found Yellow-throated Vireo and molting m Summer Tanager.

PUEBLO COUNTY:
--A Green Heron was reported by Percival at Pueblo City Park on  May 7.
--At Valco Ponds in Pueblo, Percival reported 1 ad White-throated Sparrow and Eastern Phoebe on May 7.

RIO GRANDE COUNTY:
--A Black-and-white Warbler was reported by Simmons at the Del Norte Cemetery on May 5.

WELD COUNTY:
--On May 6 at Crow Valley, Miguel reported Chestnut-sided Warbler and m Hooded Warbler.
--On May 7 at Crow Valley, Mlodinow reported Northern Parula, Nashville Warbler, Black-and-white Warbler, Ovenbird, and Green Heron.

YUMA COUNTY:
--At W end of old Bonny, Kaempfer reported Northern Waterthrush and Northern Cardinal on May 8.

     Meet at 0630 at the Marina on west side (near Cherry Creek High School) in Cherry Creek State Park.  State Parks pass required.

Saturday, May 10
Waterton, Downstream

     Meet at 0600 at Audubon Center/Discovery Pavilion (left turn immediately after turning from Wadsworth (Colo 121) onto Waterton/Roxborough Road (4.4 miles south of C-470) and before the CPW parking lot for Waterton Canyon.  4-5 mile hike.  Wear long pants due to bare-leg-unfriendly plants such as poison ivy, thistles, and knapweed.
Castlewood Canyon State Park

    Meet at 0630 at old entrance.  From CO 86, 0.5 miles west of Franktown, turn south on Castlewood Canyon Road, go two miles to old entrance.  State Parks pass required.
Chatfield State Park

     Meet at 0600 at west (Deer Creek) entrance to park.  State Parks Pass required.  
Lower Bear Creek

Sunday, May 11
Barr Lake periphery

     This trip does not involve much walking;  good for people with limited mobility or stamina.  Meet at 0730 on access road to entrance station at Barr Lake State Park.
Barr Lake State Park

     Call leader if you plan to go.  Meet at 0600 at Rocky Mountain Bird Observatory.  Exit I-76 at Bromley Lane; go east about 1/4 mile and turn right (south) on Lark Bunting Lane, to end of road.  State Parks pass required.
Rocky Mountain Arsenal
