I didn't have much time today, but birded the balloon launch area at Chatfield. Birds seen included:
- A singing Cassin's Vireo where Deer Creek crosses under Wadsworth
- Wood Duck (m) in Deer Creek by the east bridge
- Lots of Yellow-rumped Warblers including several Myrtle
- Catbird in the brush along the creek
- Several White-crowned Sparrows feeding on dandelion seeds
I was late (8am) and only spent about a 1/2 hour there, but it seemed very slow. No orioles, which I found surprising. 1/2 hour at Waterton Audubon was dead.
