[cobirds] mob(?) of nighthawks at Mariana Buttes golf course, Loveland

Last evening had dinner at the clubhouse. I was astounded by what must have been 50 or more common nighthawks swooping low for their meal. I've never seen so many feeding so active, so low. I could not have been more distracted than when I was 14 and going to the beach in SoCal for the start of summer. But unlike those bygone years I was not embarrassed to stand and gawk. I would have been a hazard on the gold course. Or I should say "more of a hazard than usual".
