[cobirds] Black Phoebe near Sell's Lake in Canon City & Pinyon Jays at Brush Hollow SWA yesterday

Yesterday morning I heard once then saw one distant Black Phoebe on the other side of the Arkansas River from the Canon City Riverwalk.  I could not refind today.  Looks like the Black Phoebe family is engaged in post-breeding dispersal.

On my way back from a meeting in Pueblo yesterday I couldn't resist the temptation to drive the 5 or so miles to Brush Hollow State Wildlife Area.  I did not see the Greater Roadrunner but did hear a few Pinyon Jays calling.  As this area had a very heavy rain the day before I could not drive closer to the calls due to mud puddles in the 2 tracks almost as big as my car.  I do usually hear Pinyon Jays at this location a few times a year.

I have uploaded more photos of the Greater Roadrunner I found there on Tuesday and  a short video clip showing it hunting insects and behaving like the entertaining birds they are.
