Birders,
The sub-adult white morph Reddish Egret was present and seen by numerous
birders at Lake Hasty, below the dam at John Martin Reservoir, Bent
County, on 8/21/13. This bird is very active, both in canopy-feeding and
fishing locations, but prefers the areas near the isthmus dividing the
north and south lakes. Today, it briefly perched in a dead tree, as well.
