[cobirds] RMBO Barr Banding Station Report, 10/2/12

A somewhat more active morning that many of our recent days – banded a total of 28 birds.  A nice mix of species, with late warblers and sparrows mixing it up.  We caught 2 less frequent sparrow species, a White-throated Sparrow (caught for the 2nd time this a.m; we banded it late yesterday afternoon as part of a special career program for a group of high school students.  Note to Tina Jones: we caught it about 2 hours after I told you we had not had one yet!) and a Swamp Sparrow (the 1st at Barr since 2005).  Here’s the full breakdown for today:

We are in our final 2 weeks – last day of banding will be Sunday, 10/14.  We are closed Thursday both this week and next.
