[cobirds] Black Phoebe and singing American Dipper in Canon City

Oops, got up to put my dog in, forgot I hadn't hit the send, so turned off the computer without sending it.  This was for last evening.

I was serenaded by the early American Dipper in the Arkansas River again tonight about 6 pm on the far west end of Canon City.  Since it has been here for over a week, I guess it has decided to return to this low elevation wintering area much sooner than usual (and there hasn't been a freeze on the river except at high elevation areas).

While listening to the delightful singing by the dipper, a Black Phoebe flew in.  This is the same area I have seen one off and on for a few weeks, where they have added a footbridge over the river west of 1st Street.  Also about a half dozen Cedar Waxwings added their high pitched call as they fed high above in the cottonwoods.
