[cobirds] Bushtits, Blue Jays, Red-br Nuthatch

Hi:

In walking our precious spaniel, Ruby, around the block this morning, a block in the DU Region of Denver, there were two sizable flocks of Bushtits and about 5 Blue Jays.

 

The Bushtits have to take the prize for the most dramatic northward range expansion of any our our resident species and the Red-breasted Nuthatch should be nominated for species demonstrating the greatest eastward expansion on to the eastern plains.

 

Of interest is what other region in the country can one reasonably expect to experience the Blue Jay and the Bushtit on a brief walk around the block
