[cobirds] Pueblo 11/27 (Sabine's Gull, Yellow-throated Warbler etc.)`

A few birders were able to see the Yellow-throated Warbler this morning in Pueblo City Park.  It was seen from the Headquarters building, in the pines and the sycamore trees, east and north to the big oak tree and in the ravine.

Early in the afternoon, Bill Maynard and I went over to the South Shore Marina tires at Pueblo Reservoir.  Bill picked out a odd smaller gull, that turned out to be a very late SABINE'S GULL.  The age of the bird was interesting, it had a black bill, with the yellow tip, light an adult, though the head wasn't black like in alternate plumage.  I don't think it looked quite right for an non-alternate plumaged adult, though maybe.  Some photos that might show something will be downloaded soon.  Other birds of note on the tires were:  adult Great Black-backed, two adult and one 1st year Lesser Black-backed, and a juvenile Thayer's Gull.

Over in the SWA in the NW side of Pueblo Reservoir, we saw the Red-necked Grebe, one Common Loon, and a large flock of Pine Siskins (still no redpolls in Pueblo that I can find).
