Hello, Birders.
Eric Zorawowicz and I met up along Boulder Creek near 75th Street, Boulder County, where we easily spotted the nice Rusty Blackbird found yesterday by David Gillilan and Susan Pellegrini. Eric also found a Common Grackle--nearly as unexpected on 11/27 in Boulder County, I would say, as a Rusty Blackbird.
We also found 3 Swamp Sparrows here, one of which I audio-recorded.
The area was generally quite birdy, with several Audubon's Warblers, Brown Creepers, and White-breasted Nuthatches; 1 or 2 American Dippers; a pale Red-tailed Hawk; many juncos; and so forth.
