[cobirds] Boulder Tundra Swans and Raptors

Probably not as interesting as the Brambling, but I did get a chance to see and photograph some rather nice, bigger birds here in Boulder County.

Thanks to Bill Kaempfer for the post about the Tundra Swans at Sombrero Marsh (Boulder) - I got up at the crack of dawn this morning and spent over an hour photographing them. A few photos here:

I spent the early part of the afternoon looking for raptors at Teller Farm and Gunbarrel Hill. Saw a Golden Eagle hunting prairie dogs on Gunbarrel Hill near the water tower, 3 Red-tailed Hawks at Teller Farm, 1 Ferruginous Hawk (I think so - would someone check my ID?: http://www.flickr.com/photos/63892538@N04/8211546965/in/set-72157632085097698 ), 1 Cooper's Hawk, 2 unidentified flying buteos, 1 squirrel tempting fate by taunting a juvenile Red-tailed Hawk, and 2 American Kestrels.
