[cobirds] Weld County Wanderings

Crom Lake (east pond now 100% mud flat; west pond has lots of exposed shoreline
  • About 30 "peeps" recognized Baird's, Least, Western, Semipalmated
  • Semipalmated Plover
  • Killdeer - 82+

Weld CR 43 (.5m north of Weld CR 48 on E)--oil operation flooded area continues to "hop".  No activity on Weld CR 48, 46, 42, 40, 59.

  • Franklin's Gull - 100s (moved over here from Weld CR 42)
  • Long-billed Dowitcher
  • "Peeps" - 12+ Least and Semipalmated recognized
  • Forster's Tern - 3
  • Black-necked Stilt - 5
  • Killdeer - 10
  • Greater Yellowlegs - 3
  • Lesser Yellowlegs - 1
  • Snowy Egret - 5

Windsor Lake

  • Forster's Tern - 9
  • Black Tern - 1

Loloff Reservor

  • Franklin's Gull - 60+
