CoBirders,
-- The Rare Bird Alert no longer has a phone answering machine so there
is no way to report a sighting to the RBA by phone. You can still report by
posting to CoBirds or by e-mail to rba At cfobirds.org.
The old list that the compilers used was getting very dated and so we are
now using the state review list which can be found at the cfo web site. Many
old birds that we used to report are no longer on the list and there are some
familiar birds that are now on the list.
It would be helpful if you would date your sightings by month and day instead of
yesterday or today. Some do not include any dates. Depending on when you
post and the time stamp that goes on the e-mail, when you just say today,
I can not be sure of the actual date especially for those you post late at night.
Good Birding,
