[cobirds] Birding Weld County - Eight hours on the road...

Yesterday - Tuesday 08/26/14 - Bruce Neuman and I had the pleasure of birding the roads of Weld County in and around Greeley Colorado.

Beebe Draw Area - WCR 40
Greater and Lesser Yellow Legs
Solitary Sandpiper
Pectoral Sandpiper

Beebe Draw Area - WCR 42
Wilson's Phalarope
Long-billed Dowitcher
White-faced Ibis
Baird's Sandpiper
Least Sandpiper
Stilt Sandpiper

Lower Latham
White-faced Ibis
Black-necked Stilt
Solitary Sandpiper

Loloff Reservoir
Yellow-headed Blackbirds
Franklin's Gull (189)
White-faced Ibis
Redhead
Stilt Sandpiper

WCR 59 Ponds
Yellow-headed Blackbirds
Wilson's Snipe
Green-winged and Blue-winged Teal

Glenmere Park (lunch break)
Mississippi Kite - had a good view of two birds flying directly over the lake - several near passes overhead - no mistaking these birds.

Neuman Lake (just north of Greeley)
Great Egret
Snowy Egret
Golden Eagle - perched on storage boxcars in field just north of the lake - great views and got pix.

Woods Lake (east of Severance)
Forster Tern
More Egrets
Western Grebes, DC Cormorants, AW Pelicans.
