The Canon City area continues to host breeding by several pairs of both typical appearing Black Phoebes and Eastern Phoebes. In the past 10 days I have found 2 families of Black Phoebes and 1 family of Eastern Phoebes. I have posted photos of both young fledgling Black and Eastern Phoebes as well as photos of a Black Phoebe that will soon be independent on my Birds and Nature blog (see most recent posting and July 28 post--be sure to click on 'read more' to open full post with all the photos and discussion).
