I visited my banding site at Clear Spring Ranch this morning, mostly to see if it survived the downpour and  flooding last night. Yes, but not so much the road.

Where the service road crosses Little Fountain Creek, about 3/4 mile N of the parking area, the creek overflowed the road, washing out about 1/4 of its width, and leaving large logs on the road. FYI, the road may be closed for repairs if you are planning a walk out there. Last time this happened, the road was closed for a couple days, and not even pedestrians were allowed across, so you had to wade the creek.

Despite several closures last night, I don't think any of the main roads are still closed, trains were running on all tracks, and Pikes Peak Raceway was roaring as usual on a Saturday.

After that, it was cloudy, muggy and sodden, and they weren't many birds, local or migrant. The lone highlight was yet another Northern Waterthrush, #7 banded in the first two weeks. Plus another Brewer's Sparrow (#5), a couple more Yellow Warblers (#125), and a three Chipping Sparrows.
