What a difference a day – and 15 degrees – makes. Back to hot weather and fewer birds. 20 new today, plus caught again 13 of the many that we banded yesterday:
Western Wood-pewee 2
Red-eyed Vireo 1 (an unusual bird for us, but the 2nd this year.)
House Wren 4
Yellow Warbler 2
MacGillivray’s Warbler 1
Common Yellowthroat 3
Wilson’s Warbler 7
Open Tues-Thurs, then closed Fri. Sat is Barr Lake’s Fall Birding Festival, with a variety of fun activities and booths at the Nature Center, plus bird hikes and of course banding. Open Sun, closed Mon.
