[cobirds] Gray-cheeked Thrush-Colo City

Though a very rare fall migrant in CO, a Gray-cheeked Thrush briefly appeared today in Greenhorn Meadows Park, Colorado City, SW Pueblo County.

The bird was along Greenhorn Creek just downstream from the pale green metal bridge crossing the Creek. This area is just south of a paved jogging track.

Other area birds of interest:
Soras have been easily seen the past week at the pond at Canon Nat'l Bank on CSH 165, Colorado City. Bank is on north side of CSH 165 about 1+ mile west of its jct with I-25, exit 74.

3-toed Woodpecker 9-22-13 Old San Isabel Rd 5 miles NW of its jct with CSH 165. Bird is on private property. Contact me if you wish to try for it.

Townsend's Warblers have been regularly found at SW end of Rye Mountain Park since mid-August.

Clay-colored Sparrow today on & near chain link fence in SE corner of jogging track in Greenhorn Meadows Park. Lots of sparrows & other birds here.
