Another good turnover last night, and we collected good numbers of birds from beginning to end. The Bird-of-the-Day was an FOS Winter Wren, maybe only the second occasion we've caught them at Chico Basin Ranch. Photos available. Full report to follow.
There was a large arrival of thrushes, even at dawn, and the same mixed warblers, (mostly Wilson's), and several Empids again, with Hammond's, Least, Western, and Dusky Flycatchers, and a couple WW Pewees. 105 new banded birds today, 50+ were Wilson's Warblers, That's over 1000 birds for the season now, and probably 325+ Wilson's Warblers.
Good Birding,
