I stopped at Last Chance yesterday morning on my way to Prewett Reservoir, and it was extremely birdy. I got there about 6:45 am and stayed for 45 minutes
Highlights include:
American Redstart 5
Northern Waterthrush 1
Brown Thrasher 5
Wilson Warbler 4
Yellow Warbler 2
Lark Sparrow 2
Plummeous Vireo 1
Mourning Dove
Eurasian Collared Dove
Starlings
American Robin 3
House Sparrow
Ovenbird 1
Eastern Kingbird 3
Yellowthroat 1
Brewers Sparrow
Chipping Sparrow
Say's Phoebe
American Kestrel
Redtail Hawk
Swainson Hawk
Prewett was another, less productive story. Joe Roller and group have to be commended for the fine job they did in rehabilitating this wonderful migrant trap after last year's fire. Birds can't resist the dripping water.
