Hello Folks,
About 9:00 A.M. Michael Kiessig and I paid a visit to the S. Platte
Reservoir. The two female Long-tailed Ducks and flock of Ruddy Ducks
were still present. We studied the gulls at some length and amid the
Herring & Ring-billed Gulls (we estimated 75 Herring to about 45 Ring-
billed), we found two very dark mantled Lesser Black-backed Gulls and
two adult Thayer's. We thought the two Lesser Black-backed Gulls were
both very dark mantled and long-winged and probably were the
"intermedius" Glenn Walbeck referred to in his recent post.
