[cobirds] Bohemian Waxwings, Boulder

At 10:30 this morning a large flock of apparent Bohemian Waxwings (about 400 birds) flew over the road in front of my car.  My looks were brief but the lighting was excellent, and I was pretty sure of the ID, given the size of the birds (large for waxwings) and their multicolored, dark-vented look.  The birds looked pretty uniform in coloration but I can't swear there weren't some Cedars mixed in.  They were headed north over Independence Road right at Hayden Lake.  This is just east of the intersection of Foothills Parkway and the Diagonal Highway, and just northwest of the airport.  It's only a few blocks from where Brian Guarente reported probable Bohemians the other day.  It was also very close to the Cottonwood Trailhead, so if you're interested in looking for these birds, I suspect your best bet is to park at the trailhead and head north along the Cottonwood Trail (map: http://www.bouldercolorado.gov/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=2998&Itemid=1035).

Best of luck,
