[cobirds] Caatfield State Park EIS

I perused the Draft EIS and pulled out strings of relevant paragraphs – it's 11 pages long (better than 1000 pages). The excerpts include some of the bird comments, a little on other species (e.g., N. Leopard Frog; mitigation, water level fluctuation, and the comments on the broader implications of the reallocation – those on the community beyond Chatfield.
One thing that hadn't occurred to me: relocating the visitor facilities (trails, picnic areas, outhouses, etc. will consume more area and more habitat.
I also studied Appendix Q, on the Bird Point Counts, the basis of one analysis of bird occurrences at Chatfield. I turned it into a spread sheet that I can cope with.
I will be glad to email both to anyone interested.
